LOYALTY MAN (Race 7, 2nd 3.25L, $12.00 SP): Had been catching the eye at the jump outs and ran well to finish second behind the in form Tshahitsi over 1400m. He paraded in good health pre race but wasn’t wound right up for his return. He can step up to about 1600m in two to three weeks and should be hard to beat.
PATTERN (Race 9, 3rd 2L, $4.80 SP): Resumed from a lengthy spell to run third over 1400m in the last race. The stable are masters at getting horses fit off long breaks but he was carrying a bit of condition and that run is sure to bring him on. The fact that they have persevered with him is a strong pointer that he has more wins in him.
HAY BALE (Race 8, 5th 1.65L, $26.00 SP): Looked in good order for his first run as a gelding and his effort to finish just behind the place getters was full of merit. With that run under his belt he should be able to find a suitable race over a sprint trip in the weeks ahead
